Our Bike Fit sessions are conducted in the clinic with Physiotherapist and former Professional Triathlete, James Cook. James offers fittings for Road, Triathlon/TT, Gravel, Mountain (wheels 27.5'' and smaller), and commuter bikes.

Having a properly fitting bike increases rider comfort and performance while minimizing the risk of injury, all of which maximize your cycling experience. Whether you are looking to dial in the fit of a new bike, or experiencing discomfort or chronic injuries with your current bike, you will benefit from a functional bike fitting.

Sessions include a detailed physiotherapy assessment of your activity goals and experiences, health history, current biomechanics, and how your body interacts with your bike. This information will be used to make appropriate adjustments to your bike and provide you with a personalized plan to maximize your body’s comfort and performance both on and off the bike. As these sessions include a detailed physiotherapy assessment and treatment plan, they are eligible to be billed under most extended health care plans. Please confirm with your provider to ensure that this service is covered.

It is recommended to book an Initial Assessment as well as a follow-up appointment 1 week later (or after 2-3 rides) as it is common to have an adjustment period as your body responds to the new fit. It is important to ensure the fit is fine-tuned and your home program is adjusted to best support your cycling goals. James may suggest the purchase of additional or alternate pieces of equipment to optimize your fit. Any additional equipment suggested is not included in the cost of the bike fit and can be purchased at a bike shop of your preference.
